Calzones

A calzone is basically a pizza dough that is rolled and stuffed with fillings similar to your favorite pizza, rolled and baked. Often it is served with marinara sauce for dipping.  Easy to make at home
These calzones are great to keep in the freezer for a quick meal at any moment. Bake 8 all at once, or just a couple, depending on how much you need.
* Ingredients:
° 1 basic pizza dough (recipe previously posted in Feeds)
° Fillings of your choice (do not exceed 5 fillings because it is just too much)
° Shredded cheese pizza mix
° pinch of garlic powder
° a sprinkle of basil
° 1 T. Butter
* Directions :
Prepare pizza dough and cut into a 12-inch circle, put a layer of cheese on the bottom half of the dough and then add another layer of cheese, fold the top half from the top and close the ends by turning and rolling inward. Melt the butter and stir in the basil and garlic powder, brush the top of the calzone, using a knife, make a few slits across the top until steam escapes, bake at 425 degrees for 15-12 minutes, serve with a side of warm pizza sauce.
Enjoy !
